I think they should continue the show and put Emillo Estevez in the lead role. He is a very good actor and very handsome.
They could have Evelyn tell Alan (and maybe Charlie) that she had a secret affair
years ago, and she had another son, but the father won custody, The father
died and left all he had to his legal wife and children. He left the story of his
affair and left an unsealed letter to the son from the affair and ordered it to be
given to that son. In the letter he was told how to find his real mother, and he
shows up at her door, and she takes him to Charlie & Alan's home.

The show is too good to cancel, and Emillo has his head on straight.

Ah, but IronMan didn't need and accident or mutation. He's just real bright, studied in school, and has lots of money from inventing things. Okay, they were weapons, but he saw the light, repented, and then became a superhero. So I suppose you could use 'kidnapping adversity/epiphany/change of heart' in the spot for 'lab accident'. It's a thought.
